Taste of Mumbai – A World Class Celebration of Great Taste!

The internationally acclaimed food and drinks festival is going to happen from the 22nd till the 24th of March 2013 at Grand medical college ground and the Wilson gymkhana, Marine Lines. This is based on the original concept of Taste of London but the scale of festivities is going to be smaller here. The festival will feature food stalls by premier restaurants and chefs dishing out their signature recipes.

There will be 12 high end restaurants out of which 10 will be from India and the other 2 will be from overseas. The restaurants that’s the organizers have chosen are :  Arola at the J. W. Marriott, China House at the Grand Hyatt, Prego at The Westin Mumbai Garden City, Koh at the Intercontinental Marine Drive, Ellipsis in Colaba, Kofuku in Bandra, Impresario Handmade Restaurants, Olive Bar & Kitchen in Khar and Mahalaxmi, Caperberry from Bangalore, Fire at The Park in Delhi, London’s Michelin-starred The Cinnamon Club (helmed by Vivek Singh), and New York’s Graffiti Food and Wine Bar.

The idea of having such a festival is to showcase the culinary art of premium restaurants to a larger audience. The visitors also get to mingle with the chefs and take tips from them. Some of the participating chefs include the likes of Pooja Dhingra, Vicky Ratnani, Abhijit Saha, Ajay Chopra, Kelvin Cheung, Ritu Dalmia, James Baika, and international chefs like Emmanuel Mollois, Ian Kittichai, Margot Janse and a lot more.
